Cha Cha Challenge Fun at Belfast City Airport
Stepping on the stigma to show you care, is the message of CAUSE's new dance themed fundraising campaign!
Victoria Barkley of First Dance NI and our very own CAUSE to Dance volunteers Sarah and Laura showed staff from Belfast City Airport and P6 pupils from Euston Street Primary School how to Cha Cha on Friday 11th March. At 11am the entire group stepped on the stigma (the message of the campaign) and showed passengers and the public how easy it is to get involved. Stephen Patton, Human Resources Manager at Belfast City Airport, commented, ‘Belfast City Airport is proud of the support we provide to community groups and charities and we are really pleased to offer our support to CAUSE as we took on the Cha Cha Challenge. Mental illness affects so many of Northern Ireland’s population and it is important that every effort is made to help families and friends who care for someone living with a serious mental illness. It is vital that schools, clubs and businesses like Belfast City Airport come together and give a little of their time and a donation to support CAUSE as it challenges the stigma of mental health.’
