Care to help CAUSE
April 20, 2016
Can you help coordinate cans for CAUSE in your local area?
Always wanted to volunteer but never had time?
Volunteer as a Collection Can Coordinator and it’s all on your terms! Place collection boxes in your community and raise money so CAUSE can continue supporting families and friends who have a loved one living with a serious mental illness.
You’ll be amazed how much money is donated through collection cans placed within the local community, and as a Collection Can Coordinator you will be responsible for your own network of boxes in your local area. Whether it’s a local shop or leisure centre, the more boxes you can place and collect, the more money you will raise for CAUSE.
As a Collection Can Coordinator you will visit existing sites a few times a year to swap full tins for empty ones and use your local knowledge to seek new locations. You’ll also play a key part in the Carers Week Appeal in June, one of our flagship fundraising campaigns, by helping to place and collect cans. The next step is counting and banking the donations and completing the necessary paperwork.
This role is flexible and varied, so you can really make it your own. You can organise your time so that your volunteering fits around your life - what could be better?
With the opportunity to meet and work with a wide variety of people this role is a lot of fun. With energy, enthusiasm and passion you can help us raise crucial funds so our carer advocates can continue to support many mental health carers around Northern Ireland.
