Mental Health UK will be partnering with ITN Productions Industry News around the production of a news-style programme raising the profile of mental health in the UK, from those severely affected by mental illness, to people whose mental health has worsened during the current coronavirus crisis.

One in four of us in the UK has experienced a mental health problem and there are many different aspects of a person’s life that can affect their mental wellbeing.

The coronavirus pandemic has had such a significant impact on our daily lives and has elevated existing concerns for many, bringing mental health to the forefront of people’s minds.

In collaboration with ITN Productions Industry News, ‘Forward Together for Mental Health’ will aim to challenge perceptions and dispel myths around mental health issues and feature powerful human-interest stories, key industry interviews and learnings, news-style reports and sponsored editorial profiles from leading organisations and industry leaders.

The bespoke programme will be anchored by an ITN Productions Industry News presenter and will cover integral themes including clinical care, social connectedness, physical health, housing, financial uncertainty, employment and volunteering – highlighting how we can move forward together for mental health. the programme will be airing on 10 October 2021 to coincide with World Mental Health Day 2021.
