Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, Mental Health Awareness Week 2019 will take place from Monday 13 to Sunday 19 May 2019.

This year's theme is Body Image – how we think and feel about our bodies. Body image issues can affect all of us at any age.

It is poignant that CAUSE is teaming up with another local mental health charity - fightED- to jointly raise funds hosting a Charity Golf Day on Friday 17 May 2019 at Donaghadee Golf Club

Like CAUSE,  fightED is peer led and supports families and friends who care for someone living with an eating disorder and where body image may be a significant factor.  Both charities often refer carers to each other and now are partnering to raise much needed funds for their support services.

Paul McLarnon who established fightED along with his wife Pat,  is cycling the length of Britain from 1-16 June, over 100 miles in LEJOG Cycle (Lands Ends to John O'Groats) with Ray McLarnon and raising funds for both charities.

So if you are not a golfer or even a cyclist - you can support our worthy LEJOG campaign by donating here!
