CAUSE is peer-led which means it is run by carers for carers.

We know from direct personal experience the issues carers can face. Whether you just need someone to talk to, guidance on finding your way around or accessing services, how to work with professionals, learning more about mental illness, support available for carers or dealing with other problems, we are here for you.

Our range of services delivered by a team of dedicated Carer Advocates can offer you help and support and empower you as a relative, partner or friend to cope effectively in helping  your loved one’s recovery.

One of our Carer Advocates can meet with you face-to-face at a location convenient for you, or discuss issues with you over the phone. Carer Advocates are here to listen to you and offer information, practical and emotional support to help you.

CAUSE also provides a specialist support and advocacy service in Belfast for carers of a loved one with personality disorder as well as a dedicated service linked to Shannon Clinic. With help from our professional Carer Advocates, we ultimately want you to feel more confident, supported and empowered.

Here on our website you can get help from CAUSE , understand your caring role, learn how to look after yourself and about mental illnesses as well as find other support services to help the person you are caring for.
