As a Carer Advocate, the successful candidate will provide support to carers from the Belfast area with a locally accessible range of services including: 

  • one-to-one advocacy
  • support group facilitation
  • Helpline support
  • engaging with carers on service and policy development

 S/he will work closely with statutory health and social care agencies and other community and voluntary groups.   

The successful candidate will have personal experience of providing support to a loved one who has experienced serious mental illness.   The appointee will be a self-starter who enjoys variety in work, is prepared to work flexibly and preferably have a post-secondary level of education.  This post 20-25 hours per week salary £23,342 pro rata (per annum based on a 35 hour week).
