The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on work experience opportunities. Due to lockdown restrictions, internships and work placements have been postponed or cancelled and volunteering opportunities have been limited to those you can complete from home. This emergency may have long-lasting consequences for the students’ labour market outcomes.

But it's not all doom and gloom, at CAUSE, we are currently offering students with a business, communications, marketing, design or event management–related background a remote placement with superb training, excellent working conditions with the opportunity to enhance your CV.  We also have a wide array of volunteer roles which may suit students with various backgrounds.

Time you spend with us depends on you - it may vary from one day a week ongoing or a 12-week voluntary placement or a full academic year – whatever suits you.

These roles are available if you:

  • Are a university student or graduate
  • Have finished your A Levels or college
  • Are looking for voluntary experience in your gap year.

They offer a variety of remote placements including:

Our ‘remote’ placements are suitable for students who are expected or encouraged to take a sandwich year as part of their degree course. Click here to read about Gareth and his experiences with us during his placement year in 2019.  Our short–term placement positions are voluntary in nature and are ideally suited for students who want to gain work experience possibly as part of their course requirements.
