Now...during isolation

As a result of CORVID 19 crisis, the fundraising team was devastated to have to cancel/postpone the many events planned for our 25th birthday last year.

We realise that every business has been affected by, and is operating differently than before, due to COVID-19.  But we really need your support today to help the charity survive the devastating impact the pandemic is having, to ensure we’re here for mental health carers who need us in the future.

Why not get your colleagues to take part in some of our virtual events?

Here are some ideas to consider or you can do your own thing – it’s totally up to you!

Donate your commute

Why not help families in crises supporting someone living with a serious and complex mental illness and donate your weekly or monthly commute to work?

Whether you’re saving money on travel, fuel, station car park charges or even your morning coffee, just a portion of that amount could make a real life-changing difference.

Make a donation today!

TikTok Corporate Challenge

Hands up who hasn’t downloaded TikTok during lockdown? Anyone?? Jump on the craze by challenging your boss, CEO or Director to take part in a TikTok challenge or dance with you and your colleagues in aid of CAUSE. Can they say no if it’s for charity???

Upload your TikTok challenge on social media, your intranet and website, along with your CAUSE Fundraising Page  and encourage as many donations as possible. 🕺💃   Sign up today!

Virtual Cuppacake Morning

Miss having your morning coffee and catch up with your bestie work colleague? I We know we do!

Why not have a virtual coffee party with your work colleagues for CAUSE and support local people in your community. Organise a multiway video call and get the kettle on!  Sign up today!

Hosting your virtual corporate event is easy…

Sign up and Set up your CAUSE fundraising page

Decide on the platform you’ll be using for your event. For video calls why not use Zoom or Skype to keep connected?

Invite your colleagues to attend! Send out your virtual invite and don’t forget to include the link to your fundraising page to get your colleagues to dig deep!

**Please follow government guidelines including social distancing while taking part in your fundraising event for us**

Your company may also be able to donate gifts in kind that we can use in a raffle or for 'pamper' packs for those carers who really need them during these difficult times.

Later...after isolation

25 in 2020

Our aim in this special year when we are celebrating 25 years of CAUSE, is to recruit 25 companies to sign up and take up the challenge by:

  • Raising much needed funds for us by signing up for a Strictly Your Company Challenge,  organising your own CAUSE Office Olympics or by doing your own thing
  • Giving your time by volunteering - helping at our collections or bag packs or offering your skills to the team
  • Sponsoring our 25th Birthday Conference, an other CAUSE event or project
  • Make a donation

There are so many ways you can get involved in our 25th Birthday Year!

Come together at work for CAUSE.  By building a relationship with us, you can help engage and motivate your staff, encourage teamwork, and have fun while doing your bit to help those people in Northern Ireland affected by a loved one's serious mental illness.

There are lots of ways you and your organisation can get involved:

  • Become our charity partner
  • Donations in kind
  • Sponsorship
  • Staff volunteering
  • Fundraising events
  • Payroll giving

Charity Partnership

Why not nominate CAUSE as your charity of the year?

A corporate partnership can give you the opportunity to achieve your commercial and corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives, while helping your local community.

Our dedicated fundraising team will advise and help you organise your events calendar and work closely with you to promote the partnership every step of the way.

But it’s not just about raising money – it’s also about raising awareness of mental illness and the impact it has on family and friends of someone with a serious mental illness and also helping your staff improve their mental well-being.  We’ll speak to your staff mental illness and where they can receive help if they have an issue.  Find out more about the mental health promotion services we can offer in the workplace

NFU Mutual has been busy fundraising for us for the past year - three of their staff took to the dance floor in Strictly for CAUSE 2019 with lots happening in their Belfast office including a Bake-Off Challenge!  They also bag packed in Asda Westwood and raise an amazing £1194!!

Other charity partnerships have included:

Donations in kind

Instead of giving money to a charity many organisations choose to give donations in kind – where the goods and services of the organisation are given instead. We appreciate all donations in kind, whether they’re a one-off  or something more regular.  You can help us by donating raffle prizes, refreshments for events or your staff’s can cleat their clutter for recycling and donate proceeds. Alternatively you can help us by providing expert advice or giving your time free of charge.  Receive a pack of beautiful flower seeds by giving a regular gift to CAUSE or buy some fantastic vegetable seeds - all generously donated by UNWINS!

Sponsoring one of our events, publications, services or campaigns can provide branding opportunities, generate positive PR and demonstrate your commitment to your local community.

Volunteers play a valuable role within CAUSE. This is a great way of improving your employees’ sense of well-being, as well as learning new skills and helping us to help others. Find out how your staff could volunteer with us and hear first-hand how they can benefit from getting involved.

Fundraising Events

To enhance team development and staff morale, why not get a group of colleagues together and organise an event for us?  Plan a Cuppacake morning, a sponsored walk, cycle or run,  take part in one of our events such as Strictly for CAUSE, Strictly Jigs and Reels or host your very own Lip Sync Battle.

Whatever you fancy, we can help organise the right event for you by providing support, materials and merchandise, and give you great fundraising tips to help you get started.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a great way to support us straight from your salary.  It’s very simple to set up, and because donations are deducted before you pay tax, it’s a very tax effective way to give.

Regular giving means that we know how much and how often you will donate so we can plan much more effectively for the future and reach more people who need our help across NI.

Why not invite your clients and suppliers to get involved too?

Whatever you decide to do, make it your own and let us know how we can support you along the way.

We understand that every organisation is different, so whether you are a brand new fundraiser or a workplace fundraising hero, we will be here to support you every step of the way and help you find a fundraising activity that is right for you.
